Simon Cowell couldn’t contain his joy as smiled for the cameras while holding his adorable new pup on the America’s Got Talent red carpet.

The 62-year-old music mogul, who is known for being a certified dog lover, donned all black ahead of filming the live show at Sheraton Pasadena Hotel in Pasadena, California.

Simon is already dad to Yorkshire terriers Squiddly and Diddly, who joined the family in 2013, and his mother’s dog Freddy, the terrier he adopted after her death in 2015

In 2018, the TV personality rescued stray terrier Daisyfrom Barbados by adopting her after meeting her at a charity event on the Caribbean island.

After posing with his pet pooch, Simon joined his co-stars comedian Howie Mandel, supermodel Heidi Klum and Modern Family actress Sofia Vergara on the judging panel.

America’s Got Talent’s 17th season kicked off in May, and the stars are currently battling for a place in the grand finale.

In April, the Britain’s Got Talent judge revealed he will leave a ‘substantial amount’ to various dog shelters in his last will and testament.

Simon has decided to draw up his last wishes after suffering a traumatic bike accident a few months ago, however, he described the process of concluding his affairs as ‘one of the most depressing’ and ‘hardest’ things he’s ever done.

Revealing that ‘everything he cares about will be covered in the will,’ Simon told The Sun he now has ‘peace of mind’ knowing that everything is sorted.

He’ll be leaving some of his wealth to charities including Dogs Trust and Battersea Dog’s Home, and K9 Friends in Barbados, where he’s already rescued members of his canine family from.

Simon’s traumatic e-bike crash resulted in him being rushed to hospital with a suspected concussion and a broken arm, only 18 months after another e-bike accident in Malibu which left him close to being paralysed.

The entrepreneur also explained that wanted to spend more time with his eight-year-old son, Eric, while focusing on his on-screen roles.

‘I made the decision that my main job would be being on TV, not running a production company. It was just all becoming too much,’ he said. ‘If I’m being honest, I was very nervous about burnout.

‘I wasn’t feeling ill, I was just terrified that would happen to me.’

America’s Got Talent continues on Tuesday at 8pm EST on NBC.
