Tom Hanks’ wife Rita Wilson looks teary and upset as Hollywood couple dine out

Rita Wilson looked visibly upset while having dinner with husband Tom Hanks and their son Chet Hanks at Tra Di Noi restaurant in Malibu on Sunday night.

The actress, 65, appeared to be wiping tears away from both her eyes during the tense dinner, as her husband, 66, sat across from her.

Meanwhile her son, 32 – who previously called himself ‘the only hell my momma ever raised’ – sat beside her and was pictured checking out his phone as well as smoking a vape at one point.

The trio was seen also seated with Tom’s daughter Elizbeth, 40, who’s mother is the actor’s late first wife Samantha Lewes.

Rita wore an off-shoulder black top and accessorized with a prominent silver necklace during the night out.

The Sleepless in Seattle star wore her blonde tresses parted in the middle and tucked behind her ears.

Chet opted for a more laid-back look, wearing a black tank top that showed off his tattooed arms.

During the dinner Rita was seen glancing over at her son a number of times, though it’s unclear what she might have been emotional about.

Afterwards, the family was seen departing the restaurant together in one car, with Chet in the backseat.

Tom looked classic as ever while leaving the eatery, wearing a dark navy shirt, black pants, and brown loafers and was seen exiting the restaurant.

The couple was also spotted together over the weekend at the Malibu Chili Cook-off.

Aside from Chet – born Chester Marlon Hanks – the pair also share younger son Truman Theodore, 26.

Tom is also dad to son Colin, 44, with his late ex-wife Samantha Lewes, as well as Elizabeth.
